Shipwatch Yacht and Tennis Club is a Homeowners Condominium Association which includes both a Yacht Club and a Tennis Club. Residential units include villas and mid-rise buildings totaling 404 units. We are a restricted entry community with courtesy officers on duty 24 hours a day.
We are a private, 56 acre community located on the Inter- coastal Waterway at the Indian Rocks Bridge and is accessible from State Road 688 (Walsingham Rd), Pinellas County FL 33774. We are within walking distance of the Gulf Beaches (0.6 miles).
We are governed by a board of directors elected by the homeowners.
We include a 32 slip marina with individual slips owned by resident members. Two of the slips are reserved for visiting boaters. Our marina provides a convenient and safe access harbor for the boaters.
The Shipwatch tennis facility includes 11 clay courts with a pro shop. The Shipwatch Tennis Club is also open to a limited number of outside members. We include two clubhouses. Clubhouse I is near the front gate . It has a beautiful view of the harbor and the Inter-coastal Waterway. It includes meeting areas with a bar and kitchen available for resident's use. The association offices are located there and staffed full time by Community Management Concepts, our on site management company. Swimming pool I is conveniently located here. Clubhouse 2 is located more near the center of community. It includes a heated pool and spa with a fully equipped exercise room.
The two mid rise buildings provide great views of the Gulf Coast, with its beautiful sunsets. We also include 36 buildings consisting of individually owned villas, making a total of 404 individually owned units in the community. The 56 acres include about 2 miles of hard surfaced streets and walking or bicycling trails. All are lined with oak trees, palms, shrubs and flowers. Many of these bloom at various seasons of the year. All the area is maintained by professional landscaping companies under annual contracts.
There are 18 ponds and a natural lagoon. These are fed from a natural spring that flows through the property.
